Form Splitting Fist
STEP 17:
Step forward with the left leg, while the left hand shoots out
over the right hand and makes a splitting fist. The right hand
goes to the Dan Tien.
After this last movement, do the turning movements of Pi Quan,
and do the form again, but switching sides: The right hand will
do what the left did, and vice versa.
APPLICATIONS
A. Golden Cock Stands on One Leg
This movement contains the splitting movement in a wide circle.
It can be used to block and attack with a palm to the head simultaneously,
or to hit an oncoming arm/foot with both hands, as a block/attack.
B. The Chicken step and Turn
It has the same intention as the Beng Quan, but the attack is
done with the tips of the fingers. It's very suitable for areas
like the eyes or the throat.
C & D: Golden Cock Shakes its Feathers
The
Eagle form at the End is used to grab and pull (Very much like
the pulling motion of Pi Quan), to break the opponent's balance,
and then pushing the opponent to the ground. |
|
|

E: Big Split
It covers a wide circular area, and the strike is delivered with
the area of the forearm and the side of the palm. It can be used
to attack the neck, or to block (Striking the attacker's forearm).
It also can be combined with the elbow of the previous movement.
