STEP
1
Begin the form from the San Ti posture. |
 |
STEP
2
Transitional movement
The right foot comes close to the left, heel up; both arms go down
to the sides of the waist, softly, with fists closed, palm down. Don't
stop. This is performed in a soft way, at medium speed. |
 |
STEP
3
The right foot goes back with speed, in a 45° angle to the right.
Both fists strike in a circular fashion, drawing a wide circle at
the height of the head. The thumbs point down, and the elbows point
out. Make a short stop. |
 |
STEP
4
Bring the left foot close to the right, 45° degrees, with
the heel up, and sink your weight. Both fists twist and strike the
dan tien area, palms up, the elbows very close to the ribs. Your body
is facing the left, 45 degrees. |
 |
STEP
5
Transitional movement
Begin to step out with your left foot, while your fists come up,
palms facing the chest. Don's stop. |
 |
STEP
6
Transitional movement
When your fists reach the level of the mouth, open your palms, and
twist them counterclockwise, while your body advances forward. Don't
stop. |
 |
STEP
7
TIGER FORM: Split out with both palms, making a very small circle
downwards, stopping at chest level. Your body is facing 45 degrees
to the left. The left foot falls at the same time of the palms, and
the right foot makes a short following step. The intention is of a
tiger pouncing and catching its prey. The palms are open and the tips
of the thumbs are facing each other. The spine and neck remain straight.
The back is round. Stop for a while.
(Movements 5, 6 and 7 must be done in a non-stop, continuous motion.
You only stop when the palms strike out) |
 |
STEP
8
From movement 7, the left foot makes a short half step 45 degrees
to the left, and the right foot follows, coming closer to the left
shin, heel up. The fists go down to the dan tien area. Sink your weight.
Elbows very close to the ribs. |
 |
STEP
9
Step out with the right foot and do the Tiger form again. Repeat as
many times you want.
TURN |
 |
STEP
10
From the left tiger form (step number 7), hook up the left leg to
the right. The right foot stays in place. The body turns to the right,
and the hands stay at the same height. |
 |
STEP
11
The left foot stays in place, while the right foot comes close to
it, and the fists go to the dan tien area. Sink your weight. |
 |
STEP
12
Step out with a right tiger form.
