Beng visualization and energy dynamic.

The following is for the beng style in "t" footing, knees bent somewhat and touching (or almost touching), with left foot staying in the lead and starting with left beng fist out. If any of you have the Sun Lu Tang book, this would be the beng style pictured there.

The closest I can come to describing the following sensing method is a kind of soft dynamic tension. Please bear with me as I attempt to describe it.

The Hands: Open the outstretched left beng hand as if preparing to pull yourself forward, hand over hand by a thick rope.

The Legs: Sinultaneous to the left hand opening, the left leg moves forward.

Once the left foot is planted begin to feel a (twisting) tension up in into the hips between the pull of the left forward leg and the push of the right rear leg.

The feet/toes should feel as if gripping the ground (the sensation is as if stuck in glue). Sense the tension - the competition - between these two equal forces for a moment before you allow the forward motion (or, alternatively, the rearward motion) to overcome, moving the body forward (or backward) into the right fist beng shape. The release of the body into the forward motion is coordinated with the pulling-in motion of the outstretched left hand and the putward motion of the right beng hand. The classics say hand and foot together.
